Cosmopolis, The Limo Focused Movie

Released May 25, 2012, Cosmopolis is a drama film that features a whole storyline around the finance world in New York, taking place in the back of a limo.

Cosmopolis is based on a novel and revolves around how bizarrely David Cronenberg perceives the finance world. It has been said that almost all of its scenes are shot in the back of a white limo stretch.

One of the actors, Robert Pattinson said that it was a surprising script. He spent almost every scene seated in the back with its comfortable plush seats.

"When I saw the script, about 70% of it was in the limo," said Pattinson and added "But as we were shooting, (Cronenberg) kept adding even more scenes. I started feeling like it was (the German U-boat classic) Das Boat, like we were stuck in this weird submarine movie."

Almost all shots were contained in the limo, having intercoms as their form of communication to be directed by Cronenberg.

Some of the scenes in the limo were even extreme to the point that some sex scenes were even shot inside.

"There's not enough space to really do it," he says. "So she's banging her head on the ceiling. It ended up being kind of funny. But its supposed to be kind of erotic."

Bizarrely, other than sex and seducing, even prostate exams are shot at the back of the limo.

"There's a scene where I am having to seduce (a woman) while being completely naked having a prostate exam in the back of the limousine," laughs Pattinson. "They don't really see that very often in movies."
